Vinity Gill
Vinity is one of our highly skilled psychologists in the family, child, and couple space. Vinity has worked in a range of areas including mental health, child developmental disorders, parenting and family dynamics, couples’ issues and attachment. Vinity is also a specialist in working with clients who have experienced trauma and grief. Vinity registered as a Medicare and NDIS provider.
Vinity values learning; her qualifications entail a Master's in Brain and Mind Science and Health Sciences from the University of Sydney and a three-year certificate course at the Family Systems Institute focusing on family and couple therapy.
Vinity works with a systemic lens, as posited by Dr. Murray Bowen. She uses systems thinking and brain and mind science to understand families, individuals, and couples and how they function in stressful situations, giving her the upper edge in conducting the sessions. She has been working with systemic thinking for more than 12 years.
Vinity also has a long history of experience working with children and their parents and families. She uses primarily play therapy to assist children. Vinity is also a behaviour support specialist for families.
She follows a process in every session of formulating a hypothesis of the client's concerns, and the questions are directed to help understand the client's problems. She uses the client's expertise to help understand their concerns and find solutions. She values and respects the clients for taking the first step in owning their concerns and doing something about them.
She is willing and committed to professionalism and looks forward to working with you.
