Michelle Dunn
Michelle Dunn is a Social Worker and Individual, Couple and Family Counsellor. She has over 16 years’ experience working with individuals, couples and families including children and young adults.
Michelle has extensive training in systemic and couple therapy. Michelle completed the Graduate Diploma of Systemic Therapy and then Couple and Family Therapy through the Australian Institute of Family Studies and then continued her development of attachment and intimacy-based models of couple and family therapy.
Michelle has worked in post separation settings which has allowed her develop knowledge in working with children and families in high conflict.
Michelle works with couples to work through and decrease their relational conflict and to replace negative communication patterns with positive and effective communication skills. This brings an increased understanding of the self and one's partner inner self, thus resulting in a more positive and fulfilling relationship.
Michelle has worked in school based and family therapy-based settings. She has worked work with families to build awareness of their interactional patterns, family alignments and roles within the family. Michelle also has worked with children in areas such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger management and post separation adjustments.
