Jessica McCallum

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Couple and Family Therapy
(BA/BSW, MCFT UNSW)

Jessica strives to support people to understand and feel satisfied within their personal and systems relationships. She has worked for 15 years in government and non-government organisations delivering casework and clinical services for trauma related issues, parent mental health concerns, foster carers and parent-child attachment repair. She also has training and experience in the systems surrounding children with a disability, and in particular the parenting concerns.

Jessica has worked privately as a couple therapist and teaching in university for social work undergraduate and master's degrees for 5 years. She works with couples and other family relationships with a keen focus on communication, skill building and intergenerational or life-stage influences. With Gottman training and use of other systemic and emotions focused models Jessica creates a therapeutic space for clients. Couple work needs this safe space where building or rebuilding a great relationship is the focus. Working together she can help couples with complex situations, creating a holding space, guidance and therapeutic engagement for presenting problems.
